Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 3, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for William Jacques Dor , 91, who passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue at 8:00 am until 9:30 am Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Msgr. Curtis Mallet will officiate at funeral service. Reading the scriptures will be Michelle Grace and Theresa Gonsuron. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren. Music selections will be provided by Pat Menard and Beth Hebert. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. William loved to Cajun dance, both with Grace and gracefully. He enjoyed coaching his son - Perry's baseball team and was an avid gardener. Mr. Dore' retired with Texaco in Port Arthur, Texas after 38 years of service. He was proud of the fact that he built 4 homes and a shrimp boat. He was a man with a strong mind and body. His wisdom was seen through his deeds and accomplishments. He was a true gentleman that was respected and loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Mary Grace Dor of Breaux Bridge, sons, Larry (Clara) Dor of San Diego, CA, Perry (Carol) Dor of Groves, TX, Billy (Sherry) Bergeron of Melbourne, FL, Robert (Tonya) Bergeron of Dallas, TX, daughters, Phebe Reasoner of Houston, TX, Susan (Coy) Thibodeaux of Butte la Rose, brother, Sylvan "Jun" (Alberta) Dor Jr. of Breaux Bridge, sister in law, Rena C. Dor, grandchildren, Steve Grace, Michelle Grace, James Dor, Zachary Bergeron, Katie Hughes, Amanda Morrison, Maycie Thibodeaux, Miya Thibodeaux, Mary Gomez, Emily Gomez, Joey Olah, Peter (Patti) Olah, Tom Olah, great grandchildren, Alexcia Dor, Cavin Shepard, Abby Grace, Jacob Grace and several Olah great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Sylvan Dor Sr., mother, Emilie Guidry Dor, 1st wife, Lula C. Dor, sisters, Marie Hebert, Maydel Cormier, Esther Cormier; brother, Whitney Dor; son in law, Ed Reasoner. Pallbearers will be Larry Dor, Perry Dor, Billy Bergeron, Robert Bergeron, Coy Thibodeaux, Steve Grace.
