William Ray Huval

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for William Ray Huval, 87, who passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Tuesday. Fr. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Andrea Benoit and Helena Champagne. Gift Bearers will be Jade Benoit, Mary Brenda Boudreaux, and Angela O'Rourke. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Ray was known for his talent as a carpenter in which many homes were built under his supervision. He loved the outdoors, watching the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Braves. His life was filled with love, laughter and unconditional love by his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, his daughter and son-in-law. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Benoit and husband, Greg, of Breaux Bridge; his sister, Helen Bourgeois of Lawtel; two grandchildren, Brandon Benoit and wife, Jade, of Breaux Bridge, and Brooks Benoit and wife, Andrea, of Carencro; and five great grandchildren, Payton Cummings, Khloe Benoit, Lexi Benoit, Aidan Benoit, and Austin Roberts. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie B. Huval; his parents, Ernest and Leota LeBlanc Huval; two brothers, Joseph H. and John Huval; his sister, Wilamina Champagne; two sisters-in-law, Nola M Huval and Enola Domingue; and three brothers-in-law, Clarence and Mitchell Broussard, and James Bourgeois. Pallbearers will be Brandon Benoit, Brooks Benoit, Greg Benoit, Joe Huval, Patrick Domingue, and Lewis Champagne, III. Honorary pallbearer will be Kobe Champagne.
