Willie "Bee" Reaux, Jr.

New Iberia – Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Church on the Rock for Willie “Bee” Reaux, Jr., 66, who passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Iberia Medical Center. 

Private inurnment will be at a later date. 

Willie "Bee" Reaux, Jr. was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on August 3, 1958, to the late Willie, Sr. and Louise Bennett Rouly Reaux. His journey through life was marked by a spirit of resilience and an unwavering joy that touched all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Willie found joy in a variety of things that brought light both to himself and to those around him. He cherished moments spent fishing, where the tranquil surroundings and the thrill of the catch provided a much-needed respite. His love for sports carried over into countless afternoons playing baseball and bowling, activities that sparked laughter and camaraderie among friends and family. Willie's playful spirit also shone brightly on the dance floor, where he would become a blur of energy and joy, often leading others to join him in the celebration of life, music, and movement. He also loved to go out to eat. 

Moreover, Willie's faith was a cornerstone of his existence. He found solace and strength in attending church, where he formed meaningful connections and gathered with a community that embraced him wholeheartedly. 

Bee is survived by a sister, Janet Aucoin; daughter, Jennifer Reaux; two grandchildren; sister-in-law, Caroline Reaux; and his longtime friend, Rocky Romero (Inga). 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Eugene Reaux, Sr. and wife, Susie; Glynn Reaux; and Rosa Belle Tomplait and husband, Clifford; and brother-in-law, Ronald Aucoin, Sr. 

As we remember Willie “Bee” Reaux, Jr., we celebrate a soul who lived authentically and fully. His laughter, kindness, and resilience will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
