VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Willie Joseph Landry, Jr., 93, who passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, SVD, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Mr. Landry was a parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, swimming, and visiting with his family and friends. Survivors include his brother, Calvin Landry (Kham Pheuy Keoounheuane), of St. Martinville; three sisters, Moudrise Jackson, of St. Martinville, Olli Mae Fontenot, of Beaumont, TX, and Atrice Chargois, of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Landry, Sr. and Yvonne Castex Landry; two brothers, Wildred and Lydric Landry; and two sisters, Bessy Kebbie and Captolia LeBlanc. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. on Saturday and continue until 8:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Pallbearers will be Philip Landry, Ryan Broussard, Marvin Jackson, Henry Savoy, Cornel Bernard, Carl Arceneaux, and Gerald Collins. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
