Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Willie Lester, Jr., 93, who passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 4:00 pm on Sunday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:45 pm on Sunday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. A private interment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Willie was born December 1, 1927 in Lafayette. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed crawfishing and hoop net fishing. At the age of 52, Willie retired as Assistant Electrical Supervisor for the City of Lafayette. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Leota LeBlanc Lester; three sons, Charles and wife Ruby Hebert Lester, David and wife Carla Boudreaux Lester and Glenn Lester; sister, Ester Lester Utley; grandchildren, Bo and Jayde Lester, Jamie and Brooke Hebert and Megan Hilts; nine great grandchildren, Curtis Lester, Buddy Lester, Kenzie Lester, Aaron Lester, Kaliyah Lester, Lauren Capdepon, Caleb Hebert, Austin Hebert, and Grayson Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie "Bud" Lester, Sr. and Ida Doucet Lester; brother, Roy Lester; three sisters, Leona Lester Veazey, Lily Lester Veazey and Rosalie Lester Kovar; and his grandson, David "Buddy" Lester, Jr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
