Willie Noel

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Willie Roy Noel, Sr., 62, who passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Christy Pennier and Tashana Patt. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Willie was a loving and devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to make people laugh and was known to be quite a comedian. Willie was always keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood and prided himself on being the 'neighborhood watchman.' He often enjoyed playing the Louisiana Lottery Scratch-Offs. He is survived by his wife, Clemencia Davis Noel of Cecilia; his mother, Georgia Mae Batiste of Arnaudville; four sons, Harry (Ladasha) Noel of Breaux Bridge, Willie Roy (Rachael) Noel, Jr. of Arnaudville, Harvey (Mary) Noel of Breaux Bridge, and William (Katherine) Noel of Cecilia; two daughters, Harriet Noel and Roxie Noel of Cecilia; five brothers, Ernest Noel, David (Ebony) Noel, Earl (Lula) Noel Sr., Linton (Lorrine) Noel, Sr., and Napoleon Noel, Jr., all of Cecilia; six sisters, Barbara Batiste of Breaux Bridge, Linda Noel of Cecilia, Juanita (Lennis) Phillips of Parks, Patricia Noel of Dallas, TX, Martha (Herman) Calais of Henderson, and Brenda (Calvin) Journet of Arnaudville; 12 grandchildren, Shantatia, Moisha, Breonlia, Tatiana, Shardasha, Kelsha, Kelsea, Keldrick, Jamal, Jaymien, Maryah, and Shanice. He is preceded in death by his father, Napoleon Noel Sr.; step father, Ernest Batiste; and two brothers, Joseph Felton Noel and Edward Noel, Sr. Pallbearers will be Kendall Journet, Willie Noel, Lelond Phillips, Harry Noel, Isaac Davis, and Brent Calais.
