Willis Joseph Menard New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Assembly Christian Church in New Iberia for Willis Joseph Menard, 91, who passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, and continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Rev. Paul Neel will be the Officiant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Willis Joseph Menard was born in Youngsville, LA on March 9, 1926 to the late Armand and Marie Nepeveux Menard. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, retired from McDermott Corporation, and former owner of Garden of Eden. He was a loving husband and father, and a member of Assembly Christian Church. . He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rita Romero Menard; daughters, Linda Thibeaux and husband, Allen Thibeaux of Abbeville; Debra Guidry and husband Alvin "Blackie" Guidry of New Iberia, Vicky Brigham and husband Leslie Brigham, Jr. of Katy, TX; brother, Felix Menard of New Iberia; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Pallbearers will be Les Brigham, Alvin "Blackie" Guidry, Mike Thibeaux, Thomas Brigham, Jason Thibeaux, and Kerry Viator.
