Winola Costley

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Winola 'Toot' LeBlanc Costley, 83, who passed away on Monday, February 06, 2012 at her residence. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. "Toot," as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, enjoyed going fishing, playing cards and Bingo, as well as reading her books and watching old westerns on television. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends and looked forward to the holidays each and every year. Thanksgiving was her favorite because she enjoyed preparing a feast to feed everyone and you were always welcomed into her home for a meal on any occasion. Toot was considered by many to be a nurturing caregiver - always doing for others and putting their needs before her own. She will be sorrowfully missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Survivors include five sons, Larry Patin (Joan), Walter Costley (Cindy), Dale Costley, Curtis Costley (Virginia), and Sammy Costley (Pamela); two daughters, Marline Patin Laviolette and Bonny Dupuy (Sidney, IV); 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Adles Patin; her second husband, Wilfred Costley; her parents, Amilcar 'Goon' and Grace Castille LeBlanc; two sons, Kenneth J. 'Rooster' and Carl J. Patin; a granddaughter, Danielle Caroline Dupuy; her daughter-in-law, Barbra Costley; two sisters, her twin, Willa Mae Breaux and Effie Champagne; and four brothers, Fred, Woodrow, Hansel, and John Grady LeBlanc. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday until 10 p.m. and continue on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Larry Patin, Walter Costley, Dale Costley, Curtis Costley, Sammy Costley, and Sidney Dupuy, IV. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breau x Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
