Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Winona "Winnie" G. Benoit, 99, who passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, in her home surrounded by family. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 12:00 pm on Saturday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Memorial Service. Winona, better known as Winnie, was born in Breaux Bridge, LA to the late Terrance and Carrie Bellot Guidry. Winnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed dancing, French music, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Winnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank her wonderful sitters, Jenny Maddocks, Sandy Navarre, and Cynthia Tracy for their care and devotion and St. Joseph Hospice for their dedication and guidance. She is survived by her son, Robert C. Benoit and wife Carolyn; daughters, Carrie Lynn B. Wilson and husband James, and Nancy B. Latour and husband Cedric; brother, Terry Guidry and wife Wilda; grandchildren, Emily and Sidney Latour; step-grandchildren, April Owens and Heather Daigle; great grandchildren, Remington and Renee Latour, Elias Ramsey, Amanda Christmann, Jayden Hoback, Haven and Kamin Owens, Kamyron Albarado, and Braylon and Averly Senez; and her lifelong friend, Molly Womack. She was preceded in death by her father, Terrance Guidry; mother, Carrie Bellot Guidry; husband, Paul Benoit; granddaughter, Wendy Benoit; and sister, Melba Womack.
