New Iberia - Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Wyatt James Mortensen, 3, who passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Monday from 8:30am until 11:00 am. Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Wyatt James Mortensen was born in New Iberia, LA on September 3, 2014 to Maggie Baldridge and James Mortensen. An animal lover, Wyatt was full of energy; he liked drinking coffee and watching cartoons. He was late to bed, early to rise, and loved to eat; peanut butter was one of his favorite foods. Wyatt was so excited about starting school and riding the bus with his siblings. He liked to fix his hair and be called "Handsome Dan." Wyatt's kind heart and bright smile will be forever missed by all who knew him. Wyatt is survived by his loving parents, Maggie Baldridge and James Mortensen of New Iberia; brother, Grayson Mortensen; sister, Jolie Mortensen; grandparents, Chris Baldridge and Melinda Baldridge, both of New Iberia; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, LaDon Mortensen, Cecil Mortensen, and Cynthia Phillips.
