Xa Riengxay

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Xa Riengxay, 77, who passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Xa enjoyed gardening, working, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her work ethic, kindness, and passion for sharing her vegetables that were grown in her garden. She is survived by her two sons, Chome Riengxay (Phounsavanh) of St. Martinville, Badame Riengxay (Nakkhaly) of St. Martinville; daughter, Chanhome Bounpheng (Khamtanh) of St. Martinville; seven grandchildren, Van Bounpheng, Peter Bounpheng, Malina Bounpheng, Junior Riengxay, Wiston Riengxay, Alyta Riengxay and Jonathan Riengxay; great grandchildren, Tahj, Nancy, Elle, Mason and Jiordin, She was preceded in death by her husband, Khom Riengxay; son, Jarm Riengxay; father, Samethep Lithisack; and mother, Hang Lithisack. Pallbearers will be Van Bounpheng, Peter Bounpheng, Junior Riengxay, Wiston Riengxay, Jonathan Riengxay and Tahj Bounpheng.
