Yola Champagne Poirier

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 15, 2006, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Yola Champagne Poirier, 91, who died Saturday, May 13, 2006 at her residence in St. Martinville. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery ?in St. Martinville. Mrs. Poirier was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and a promotor of the Miraculous Medal in Honor of Our Blessed Mother. Survivors include her husband, Jean Poirier; her daughter, Mary Ann Viator and her husband, John, all of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Michele Bienvenu and her husband, Jack, Anne Theriot and her husband, Jody and Amy Borel and her husband, Dickie; and her great-grandchildren, Jake Bienvenu, Ariele Bienvenu, Madison Bienvenu, Rayni Borel, Rylee Borel, Tristan Theriot and Joshua Theriot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herzelle and Luzeon Champagne, and her brother, Edward Champagne. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm, Sunday, May 14, 2006 and continue at 7:00 am Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Sunday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lynette Morris for being there and providing Mrs. Poirier with excellent care.
