St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Zenola Marie Davis Mitchell , 70, who passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. She is survived by her son, Clayton Mitchell, Sr.; daughters, Jennifer Mitchell, Rachel Charles and husband Dumas, and Jeanette Mitchell; sisters, Indiana Davis Jacquet and husband Wallace, and Mary Lee Wiltz and husband Wesley; grandchildren, Clayton Mitchell, Jr., Quinton Mitchell, Dentrail Williams, Jessica Williams, DaJohn Williams, Kayera Charles, Tranacia Charles, and JaQuan Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mitchell; her parents, Joseph and Sedona Barras Davis; and brother, Hendra Davis. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
