Zerbin Albert Hypolite

Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks for Zerbin Albert Hypolite, 81, who passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Melissa Narcisse and Ella Mathews. Gift Bearers will be Sage Benjamin and Am'bria Mallery. Obituary will be read by Terralen L. Milson. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Zerbin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew and loved him. He was a cement finisher for 30-plus years and as a pastime he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and attending all sporting events with his children and grandchildren. Zerbin will be remembered as hard-working man who worked many hours every day to provide a good life for his family. He loved spending time with his family and when he wasn't with them, he was riding through the town of Parks with his dog, Roman. Zerbin always told his children this, "Take care of yourself before you can take care of someone else." He is survived by his loving spouse Mary Ellen Hypolite of Parks; sons, Peter Hypolite and wife Tracy of New Iberia, Joseph Hypolite and wife Pamela of Atlanta, GA, Clayton Demouchet of Houston, TX; daughters, Dorinna Hypolite of Parks, Darlene H. Perkins and husband Charles of Breaux Bridge, Shannon Benjamin and husband Macary of St. Martinville; brothers, Clifton Hypolite of Parks, Curley Hypolite, Jr., and wife Mae Audrey of Houston, TX., T'Roy Hypolite and wife Maeola of Houston, TX, Joseph C. Hypolite and wife Shelia of Parks, and Joseph H. Hypolite of Parks; sisters, Barbara Joseph of Houston, TX. and Joyce Wilson of Houston, TX; daughter-in-law, Shirley Mallery of St. Martinville; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curley and Yolande Wiltz Hypolite, Sr.; brother, Rubin Hypolite, Sr.; son, Troy Hypolite; sister, Eva Hypolite. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Potier, Charles Perkins, Phillip Flugence, Craig Roberts, Macary Benjamin and Dwayne Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers will be Devon Mercier, Deandre Hypolite, Brandon Hypolite, Bryan Hypolite, Treston Hypolite, Trent Hypolite, Troy Hypolite, Jr., Kevin Hypolite, Rubin Hypolite, Sr., Isiah Hypolite, Jonathan Hypolite, Teague Hypolite, Damion Hypolite, DeQuincy Reed, Jailen Reed, Marcus Ozenne, Joseph Pascal Roberts, Venice Roberts, Curtis Ray Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Marcus Joseph, Alton Ambros, and Javion Simpson.
